Charge
This temporary advisory work group will
  • Review existing plans for a new Fire Station at 4FG and make recommendations as to ways in which to reduce building costs without compromising service
  • Review feasibility of other potential sites for a new Fire Station, including smaller stations in specific areas of the island
  • Review feasibility of expanding the Fire Station at the current site
  • Submit recommendations to the Board of Selectmen, which include
    • All options examined
    • The pros and cons of each option
    • Estimated costs and assumptions of each option
    • Recommendation as to proceeding
  • Provide suggestions and assistance with public outreach and education on the final project
