The Friday morning high tide has the potential to be quite dangerous and could be similar to or even
worse than the this mornings’ tide. Some areas have been inundated with 1-3 feet of water...... and some evacuations may
become necessary. Severe beach erosion is likely through Saturday Morning.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11:00 AM Friday... Winds... northeast 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

Due to prolonged flooding today and the expectation that tomorrow’s (Friday- March 8, 2013) high tide at 9:00AM will exceed today’s levels the Finance Department Offices located at 37 Washington Street will open at 1:00 PM on Friday . There is extensive flooding in the Brant Point area, Easton Street, North Water Street, Easy Street, Washington Street are closed to vehicular traffic. Due to the excessive and prolonged tide cycle caused by winds that are not expected to diminish until early afternoon Friday, these roads remain impassable.
