Safe Work Guidelines for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (PDF)

Town and County Facilities:
✘ While Town offices are open to provide services to the public, they are not currently open for the public to enter the offices. Current state guidance is that offices use alternative measures for now to serve the public (such as email, telephone, video conferencing, on-line applications, drop-boxes, curbside delivery). Until the town is able to have the appropriate safety measures in place for its employees and the public, and state guidance relaxes, the offices will remain physically closed. We urge the public to call the office you need, directly, for service.

Finance Department:

 Staff working remotely on limited hours.
 Collections online, mail, essential employees only in limited hours.
 AP/AR limited hours.
 Payroll limited hours.

Fire Department/EMS:

 Staff working remotely on limited hours.
 For emergencies, call 911.
✘ Public Safety Facility closed to the public.
✘ No non-essential services.

Harbor Master:

✓ Limited operations.
✓ Inspections by appointment only.
✓ Payments via mail or online only..
✘ Office closed to the public.
✘ Moorings installed by handlers only. Must remained unoccupied.

Health Department:

Staff working remotely on limited hours.
Food Delivery Program.
Minimal email and phone.
Permits to be submitted electronically for review.
✓ Limited inspections scheduled for essential services.

No field services (ie.Percolation tests).

Natural Resources Department:

 Staff working remotely on limited hours.
 Limited shellfish and species monitoring.
 Permits to be submitted electronically.

 Inspectors and essential employees only assisting to enforce Construction Enforcement.

Police Department:

 Fully operational for emergencies.
 For emergencies, call 911.

✘ No non-essential services.

Public Works:

 Staff working remotely on limited hours.
 Limited trash pick-up.
 Landfill.
 Limited road crews. 
 Emergency services and road repair only.
✓ Public bathrooms at Visitor Service building only.

✘ No Take It or Leave It (TIOLI).

 Testing for Covid-19 at Surfside Wastewater Treatment Facility.

County Government
