Alert: The Town of Nantucket has issued the maximum number of Chapter 15 ANNUAL Off-Premise (Package Store) Licenses allowed under the current quota. No new Annual package store license applications will be accepted at this time.

One Seasonal Off-Premise License is available by vote of the Select Board on March 15, 2023 to set the temporary Seasonal population at 45,000. Seasonal Licenses are valid April 1 - January 15.

The Select Board acts as the Local Licensing Authority for the Town and County of Nantucket. The Select Board and Licensing Office issue and regulate alcohol and food licenses for restaurants, hotels/inns, package stores, nightclubs and other establishments in Nantucket. The Select Board holds Public Hearings on violations and licensing applications once a month. See below for list of applications, regulations and hearing dates.
