Phase 4 - Monohansett Rd. Reconstruction, Stormwater & Multi-Use Path Project

This part of the overall Surfside Area Roadway Projects completes the Surfside area roadway reconstruction projects with reconstruction and paving of Monohansett Road including re-engineered drainage and a mixed-use path from Okorwaw Avenue to the existing Airport Road Bike Path.  This project is in conceptual design and not yet funded.  Amendment to the GPI contract to design this roadway project is forthcoming to the Board.

With the completion of all four phases of the Surfside Area Roadway projects, island pedestrians and cyclists will benefit from the safe and convenient multi-use path access from locations on Old South Road to Surfside Road via Lovers Lane or Airport Road.  In addition, the reconstructed roads will provide much needed drainage improvements and safer driving conditions for all residents and visitors.
