This page details any comment periods open for the NP&EDC’s federally required Continuing, Comprehensive, and Cooperative (3C) transportation planning documents in addition to any plan related documents that the NP&EDC is presently working on. These documents include the region’s Unified Planning Work Program, Transportation Improvement Program, Long Range Transportation Plan, and Public Participation Plan.

Amendment to FFY 2023 Transit Program to add a project for a supervisory vehicle, reduce the cost of a maintenance project, add funding for traveler information system, maintenance, and shop equipment, and add funding for a bus replacement.

The TIP is a fiscally constrained listing of federal and state funded regional transportation projects for the next 5 years.  This document is federally required, and includes both roadway and transit projects, which ultimately are programmed in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP.

A fiscally constrained listing of federal and state funded regional transportation planning activities for the upcoming year.  

This federally required programming document is updated annually, and includes all administrative, data collection, analytical, planning, and implementation activities for the year.  These activities must align with federal, state, and local vision, goals, and priorities.


2020 Long Range Transportation Plan Update
To start in July 2023A federally required fiscally constrained long-range planning document updated every four years, that guides major transportation investments for at least the next 20 years, or 2050 for this planning cycle.  This plan describes the region’s vision, goals, and implementation strategies.  It also describes the current conditions and desired future transportation system.
