The Town of Nantucket, acting by and through its Town Administration, invites qualified bidders to submit bids for the supply and delivery of miscellaneous parts and supplies for the Water Main Extension project west of Nantucket Airport. The project involves the installation of approximately 15,400 linear feet of new 8-inch and 12-inch water main for new water service in the Surfside area of Nantucket along Lovers Lane, Okorwaw Avenue, Skyline Drive, Webster Road, and Monohansett Road, along with associated hydrants and water services.

This IFB is only for water main parts and materials for the Water Main Expansion West of Nantucket Airport Project planned for construction in 2023. The parts will be stored until installation by a separately procured general contractor. Pre-procurement of the parts and materials included in this IFB for this future construction project is considered to be a requirement for the timely completion of the work in 2023.  

Bids will be accepted at the Procurement Office, 37 Washington Street, Nantucket, MA 02554, until 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2022, and will be publicly opened forthwith for this Invitation for Bids which is made in accordance with M.G.L. c 30B.

This is a project funded by the State Revolving Fund (SRF) program (Drinking Water SRF#7011) and all parts must comply with the American Iron and Steel (AIS) Requirements of P.L. 113-76, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014.

Written responses will be posted on the Town website in the form of Addenda if necessary and emailed to all bidders on record as having requested the IFB.
